The concept of this film is pretty simple, two men getting on in years but still sprightly and full of fight are diagnosed with cancer. Yeah, I'd really rather get a job at a county club, (rather than a hospital), even if they do play golf there. And, you know, Jack Nicholson is always depressed, or whatever the fuck it is that he is, so putting him in the hospital is a bit like saying, Let's see how depressed and messed-up we can get you.
