“Since I really enjoyed ‘Pusher’, I was quite eager to check this follow-up. Apparently, after his 2 next directing efforts turned out to be some failures, especially ‘Fear X’ which made his film company go bankrupt, Winding Refn did pretty much the same thing Sam Raimi did with 'Evil Dead II' and came back to his directing debut in order to relaunch his career.  Well, to be honest, even though I had some high expectations and even expected this movie to be an improvement on its predecessor,  I thought it turned out to be actually a slight step down. I mean, the directing was again solid and I really liked the same dark and gloomy mood. "Pusher-trilogian lainasin eräiltä jatkoilta saadakseni nämäkin pois alta. Refnin tunnistaa kyllä jo näistäkin, etenkin briljanttien musiikkien ansiosta. Jokainen näistä kolmesta sisälsi paljon hyvää, mutta aikoinaan saamaansa ylettömään hehkutukseen nähden odotin jotain aivan muuta. Mutta yllätyksetkin ovat toisaalta ihan kivoja."
