" "Lewis, is it you? ...Or is it just me?" Directed by Olivier Assayas Written by Olivier Assayas Music by Yorick Le Saux Cinematography by Marion Monnier Editing by Antoinette Boulat "

"Wow, so glad I watched this one. It's been a slog to get through movies I haven't wanted to watch this month, and that's a great way to lose motivation to watch anything. But Personal Shopper was interesting, understated, deeply personal, and had a little flair of the paranormal, and it was so much exactly what I needed to see. "
“Since I kept hearing some interesting things about this movie, I was quite eager to check it out. Well, to be honest, I thought the damned thing was quite a mess. Basically, Olivier Assayas delivered a fairly realistic feature with some paranormal elements and while this mix was interesting, it was never completely convincing. A divisive film to be sure, I was often enamored with the film's slow, deliberate pacing, and opaque, alluring storytelling. A murder-mystery/ghost story, the film doesn't easily fit into clear narrative boxes, which is often what keeps it intriguing; there are no clean, easy answers to the existential questions it poses, but the elegance with which they're asked often give the film it'"

"First viewing - Feb. 10th I've seen a lot of praise for Personal Shopper which led me to check it out. I'm generally not a fan of Kristen Stewart, so I tend to ignore the films she makes, and thus my expectations weren't very high going into the film. And while I can confirm it's a well-made film, it's also nothing that really blew me away. She delivers a better performance than I've seen from her in the past, and as an exploration of how we interact with the visible and invisible world around "
