I´m not really sure if it is a really famous movie abroad (it still managed to reach 15 millions viewers across Europe, without counting the 4 millions in France) but, in France, it was a massive success and it is pretty much a classic. 13 year old Vic is the new girl in her high school; she soon makes friends with Penelope. Together they check out the guys in the quest for a great love. But Vic's parents are their handicap since they won't allow her to attend the "boum", a big party. But with some help from her grandma Poupette it works out anyway and Vic falls in love with Matthieu. At the same time her parent's marriage is on the edge when her father's ex-girlfriend demands a last night together.
