Sharks usually make for fun movies. There have been misses though with lame Jaws sequels and ones like Shark Night 3D. The premise here though sounds pretty interesting. Plus the cast is small, but well put together. The only other film I saw by Johannes Roberts was the decent Storage 24. I haven't seen anything from Ernest Riera. Ah we get a little backstory there. So we get a little depth to one... read more

FIRST IMPRESSIONSTwo sisters vacationing in Mexico are trapped in a shark cage at the bottom of the ocean, and must fight to survive with less than an hour of oxygen left and great white sharks circling nearby. We seem to be getting a bit of an influx of mainstream shark movies lately! :) Unfortunately, this one pales in comparison to last year's The Shallows. It follows the same principle of tryin... read more

"You can guess how everything is going to play out in this film from the beginning but there was some good tension building and the acting was pretty good, even though it is mostly screaming and flailing underwater, but there were some quieter moments too before the CGI sharks started attacking again."

"This film may requere a rewatch since I can't tell if was just too tired to watch this or if the film was just too frikking boring an unintentionally hilarious on it's own. First entry on my "watch a film you know nothing or very little about every week" challenge. "

BradWesley123's Movie Journal- October 2017 (23 movies items)

" DVD- 1hr. 29min. First Viewing Isn't the most original film, but 47 Meters Down has a enough solid thrills and a gutsy enough ending to make it a worthwhile watch. The ending isn't the most surprising, but is pretty abrupt, and is exceptionally uneven. It works in an odd, "can you believe this?" kind of way; it should be seen. Up to that point, it's a pretty solid b-movie that isn't the most flavorful, but get's the job done. Monthly Wesley AwardBest Sound"
