"You can guess how everything is going to play out in this film from the beginning but there was some good tension building and the acting was pretty good, even though it is mostly screaming and flailing underwater, but there were some quieter moments too before the CGI sharks started attacking again."

" DVD- 1hr. 29min. First Viewing Isn't the most original film, but 47 Meters Down has a enough solid thrills and a gutsy enough ending to make it a worthwhile watch. The ending isn't the most surprising, but is pretty abrupt, and is exceptionally uneven. It works in an odd, "can you believe this?" kind of way; it should be seen. "Though this is totally fine and looks great which is rare for underwater movies, I can't help but wonder how much better this would be as a horror movie if it actually used the concept of being at the bottom of the ocean for something other than, you know, sharks and weird diver diseases."

Two sisters vacationing in Mexico are trapped in a shark cage at the bottom of the ocean, and must fight to survive with less than an hour of oxygen left and great white sharks circling nearby.We seem to be getting a bit of an influx of mainstream shark movies lately! :) Unfortunately, this one pales in comparison to last year's The Shallows. It follows the same principle of trying to work as much tension as possible out of a simple situation, and some of the ideas and concepts are pretty well worked out.But it's all ruined by one simple problem: the characters are boring, which kills our investment in their predicament.
