" First Viewing Viewing Date: August 29th Via: Amazon Prime Video Plot: In South Central Los Angeles, two friends attempt to go straight in their lives by getting gainful employment. However, violence and drugs are an almost daily occurrence for them. Rating: 7.3/10 Why Did I Watch It? This was a random watchlist pick, chosen for David Ayer and Christian Bale."
"I don't think Harsh Times gets the credit it deserves. Bale in absolute beast mode acting, combined with David Ayer's meticulously layered LA noir which feels as authentic as food truck street tacos. "

"OVERLOOKED MOVIE! Review coming soon... *Official Zahzah's "Good MOVIES You Might Have Missed" entry* "
"Often Hated For: Having the misfortune of being renown writer David Ayer's first directorial outing after some critically praised scripts, its overly bleak world view, and it's unlikable characters. Reason I Love It: Christian Bale MADE this movie. Yes, his character is inherently unlikable BUT that is minimizing his stellar portrayal. "
" 2005 Directed By David Ayer Starring Christian Bale / Freddie Rodriguez / Eva Longoria MY Rating : 3.0 for Magnificent "
"Bale is an asshole and quite crazy. Him and Freddy Rodríguez smoke pot, drink and drive around doing small shitty things and "looking for work". I like Ayer's movies but this wasn't his best. The acting was pretty good and Bale's character going crazier (because PTSD) especially was good. Also there was a few minutes of J.K Simmons and Terry Crews."
