What a disappointment. I thought this was going to be a desert adventure a la Indiana Jones or the recent film Sahara. Instead we got to watch a weirdo Giovanni Ribisi save a group of travelers with child like mechanics.

Honestly, I wasn’t sure what to expect from this flick but since there was a decent cast, I thought I might as well give it a try. Apparently, it is a remake of an older flick starring James Stewart and Richard Attenborough, a flick I have actually never heard of but considering the decent ratings, it seems to be pretty good. Quaid stars as pilot Frank Towns in this remake of the 1965 film, he is his rough and rugged self trying to rebuild their last hope of escaping their desolate location after their plane crash lands in the desert.

A group of air crash survivors stranded in the desert with no hope of rescue build a new plane out of parts from their old one in hopes of flying back to civilization.
