"FORMAT: 35mm CONDITION: โ โ โ โ ยฝ NOTES: One of the Disney seasonโs hottest attractions, preceded by my second BFI Southbank viewing of Brian Menzโs Short Circuit project, Just a Thought. First reel looks sparkly clean, the rest looks slightly less so but astonishing nonetheless. The third reel begun off position and the fifth was projected out of focus, but both were fixed within seconds. A hard cut occurs between scenes when Keyes returns to tell Caprice about the The Blankโs offer."

"First viewing - Feb. 26th The aesthetics of Dick Tracy justify sitting through it. The costumes, the sets, the way the city looks, and the make-up for the characters...it's all just so impressive. The story is entertaining enough, albeit fairly predictable at times, and I dug the cast for the most part. It's nothing great, but when it ended I didn't regret sitting through it."
