"First viewing - May 17th Days of Thunder was not a film that I was interested in at the time of its release, though I do recall getting toys of the cars in it from a fast food chain at the time. When I saw the cast and that it was directed by Tony Scott, I figured it might be worthwhile. Eh, not so much. I mean, I wouldn't say it's a bad movie but there's nothing present to get me emotionally invested. The only character who gets fully fleshed out is Robert Duvall's, which is kind of a problem "
"March 22nd Directed by: Tony Scott Honestly, there's a lot of great stuff visually, it's helped by the fact that the 90's were cool, and I was watching the pan & scan LaserDisc; a lot of things look better when you cut the image into a square. Of course, other times it's distracting when half of someone's face isn't in the shot. Otherwise, this is an unusually slow paced sports drama with a lot of ham-fisted Nicole Kidman romance.
