"29.8. 2020 "Betoniyö" is a film that wanders around for a while and then it just ends. I'm not sure if anything in the film made any sense at all. I'm not sure if the director herself knew what she was trying to say. I guess you could say that the film looks good but that is such a mundane thing to say that it doesn't really mean anything. Painted white walls can also look good and watching them is about as interesting as watching this pretentious film."

"9.4. Pirjo Honkasalon ylistetty elokuva näyttää visuaalisessa tyylittelyssään luotaantyöntävän feikiltä. Kuvallinen ilmaisu ja ihmisten puolikuiskaava puhetyyli viestivät siitä, että nyt tehdään Taidetta isolla T:llä. Betoniyö on niin ylpeä tyylistään, ettei se tarjoa katsojalleen oikeastaan mitään muuta kuin visuaalisen ilmeen. Jos tällainen visuaalisuus ei miellytä, on elokuva lähinnä puuduttava."
