Directed by British filmmaker Gurinder Chadha (Bend It Like Beckham, Bride and Prejudice), Blinded by the Light is based on journalist Sarfraz Manzoor's 2007 memoir Greetings from Bury Park: Race, Religion and Rock N' Roll, which is a literary tribute to his hero, Bruce Springsteen. "2019 A delightful movie about the struggle of immigrants, the clash of generations, the love of family, the influence of music, and the power of dreams. A special bonus if you even mildly like Bruce Springsteen. Sure, it is full of cliches and novice filmmaking techniques but this is a film where those things didn't matter too much. My biggest issue was the poor editing... but that is not enough reason to not see it! Go see it! "
