A good movie

I already saw this movie but I thought I might as well watch it again. The first time around, I wasn’t really sure what to expect from this flick but since it was the last movie directed by Todd Phillips that I haven’t seen so far, I thought I might as well check it out. To be honest, I have to admit that I really have a weak spot for this kind of stories and, while the whole thing was nothing... read more

A Complete Review of Todd Phillips's work (12 movies items)

" Cast : Miles Teller, Jonah Hill, Ana de Armas, Kevin Pollak, Bradley Cooper What was it about? Loosely based on the true story of two young men, David Packouz and Efraim Diveroli, who won a three hundred million dollar contract from the Pentagon to arm America's allies in Afghanistan. My two cents: I have to admit that I really have a weak spot for this kind of stories and, while the whole thing was nothing really groundbreaking, this tale was pretty wild, awesome and entertaining to behol"

“I already saw this movie but I thought I might as well watch it again. To be honest, I have to admit that I really have a weak spot for this kind of stories and, while the whole thing was nothing really groundbreaking, this tale was pretty wild, awesome and entertaining to behold. In fact, as far as I was concerned, I thought it was much more fun than ‘The Hangover’. Obviously, a lot of it was made up (for example, these guys never went to Irak to deliver some weapons) but it didn’t really bother me. Something more disappointing was the relationship between Miles Teller’s characte” read more

Bml93's Film Experiences for 2018 (140 movies items)

" This is what you get when Todd Phillips, the man behind The Hangover and its sequels, attempts to make his own The Wolf of Wall Street. Inspired by actual events, War Dogs leaves frighteningly little impression once it ends. The source material is there for it to be an insightful film. Even with the comedic angle they went with. Sadly, aside from a strong Jonah Hill performance, that's all the film has to offer. Being occasionally funny with its witty banter and the outrageous situations the c"

BradWesley123's Movie Journal- December 2016 (33 movies items)

" DVD- 1hr. 54min. First Viewing War Dogs is more fun than it is truly good. It's fun in the way that most Scorsese-esque films are; they're fast, frantic, funny, and inclusive in a way that says "hey, come on in pal." Trouble is, it doesn't leave the best aftertaste; it glosses over too many interesting details, does little with the information it presents, and doesn't do a whole lot with it's characters. Teller does what he can with his role, but there's not much there; outside of Hill, who's v"

Moviewatcher122's 2017 Film Diary: July (12 movies items)

"July 5 "I'm not a bad man, but in certain situations, I have to ask myself: "What would a bad man do?"" Had this on DVD for quite a while now and I thought now was the time to finally get around to watching it. Even though I kind of knew what to expect going into this, I was surprised with what I got. Even though I wasn't expecting it to be a straight-up comedy, I wasn't expecting it to get as serious as it did either. It still has it's fair share of jokes, but it's more of a drama with some"
