Not as good as the poster but doesn´t betray my faith in Rita. It exploits´some stereotypes established in Gilda and other warner 'noir in the tropics', but nice bunch of charcters in Alexander Socrby's mansion (what a surprise, Valerie Bettis).

Affair in Trinidad

The resulting films is a mess of generic plotting and beats that felt rusty in their joints long before this film. There’s also the pervasive sense that we had seen this before an... read more

Description: Having established herself as a femme fatale for the ages in GILDA, Rita Hayworth was reunited with costar Glenn Ford for this sultry tropical noir, which went on to become an even bigger box-office hit. She stars as a nightclub performer working in Trinidad and Tobago who, when her husband turns up dead, joins forces with her brother-in-law (Ford) to find the killer, a search that leads them into the web of a deadly espionage ring. Balancing thrills and romance, AFFAIR IN TRINIDAD is above all a showcase for the divine Hayworth, who lights up the screen in her triumphant Hollywood comeback following the dissolution of her marri ... Affair in Trinidad

“After a four-year absence from the screen, Rita Hayworth returned with frequent co-star Glenn Ford in a film that feels like a rehash of Gilda with a healthy portion of various Hitchcock thrillers thrown in for flavor. Affair in Trinidad has a convoluted plot that involves Ford and Hayworth as a photogenic couple and them working opposite gun runners or something, and it all adds up to nothing in particular. What you’ll really remember is Ha” read more
