This movie, while definitely entertaining, is pure fluff---not to mention, annoying with the current songs and suggestive dancing that would not have been seen during the time period portrayed in this movie.

The character of Chaucer (played by Paul Bettany) is a much needed dose of comic entertainment, but really isn't needed for the story.

Not sure exactly why, but I really like this movie. It's not amazing, the acting isn't going to win Oscars, but I like it. The characters are funny and pretty well filled out, and the overall plot line is enough to keep you into it. It's worth seeing the awkward moments too.

One of the best films ever made, purely because it is one of the most enjoyable and entertaining films to watch. This was one of the first films, if not the first, of Heath Ledger's movies that I saw. The anachronisms, given that it’s a fantasy romance comedy, and not meant to be taken at face value, are very amusing.
