Buffy the Vampire Slayer (1997)
I'd like to see "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" get a reboot giving us a new Buffy for the next generation, or perhaps a continuation or spin-off of sorts set sometime after the events of season 7.
Murder, She Wrote (1984)
"Murder, She Wrote" almost had a reboot with Octavia Spencer in the lead, but I believe it got shut down by a disapproving Angela Lansbury who didn't like that the reboot would only be "Murder, She Wrote" in name only. It wouldn't have the same sort of vibe as the original.
I would still love to see this show get a reboot, but maybe it could also be a continuation within the world created by the original series.
My idea for the story. What if Jessica Fletcher's nephew, Grady, had a daughter who developed an interest in writing mystery novels? At the beginning of the series, she moves to Cabot Cove (staying in Aunt Jess's home) looking for a quiet place to work on her next book, meets the locals and inadvertently gets involved in her first real murder investigation.

I'd like to see someone do a M*A*S*H series set during modern wartimes. A comedy that centers around a Mobile Army Surgical Hospital while occasionally touching more recent political issues like equal rights and the new president.
Supposedly there's a movie in the works, but I think "Quantum Leap" is a series that if done right could be a hit TV show today just as the original was back in the late 80's & early 90's.
Are You Afraid of the Dark? (1990)
An anthology horror series for children. In the original, each episode begins with a group of teenagers; who call themselves The Midnight Society, gathering around a campfire late at night to tell each other scary stories and the remainder of the episode is the depiction of those stories.
In a reboot, of course they'd modernize it and make The Midnight Society an online group started by a group of friends who love scary stories and they could copy the original by visually playing out the stories that the friends are telling, but what if those stories become intertwined with real life?
Either way it'd be a great candidate for a reboot.

Pushing Daisies (2007)
This quirky series; about a guy with an unique ability to bring the recently deceased back to life once with a single touch, if he touched them a second time then they'd go back to being dead, was cut dreadfully short. A casualty of a writer's strike. I'd love to see this make a comeback.
666 Park Avenue (2012)
Personally, I would've liked to have seen this supernatural mystery series get a 2nd season, but sadly it didn't. So, I'd like to see someone reboot it with a creative team that could bring drama and suspense, and add layers and depth to the mystery.
Moonlighting (1985)
A comedy-drama mystery series about a former model who finds herself bankrupt after her accountant embezzles her fortune, and she's forced to sell off several failing businesses she owned as tax write-offs; with the exception of a detective agency. She uses her celebrity status to bring in clients and tries to bring some order to a business previously run without any discipline.
I think this could make for a great series today.

Sliders (1995)
This is a series I'd like to see get a reboot set in the same world as the original. Perhaps a group of friends discover some old abandoned technology that turns out to be the Slider technology that allows people to travel between alternate dimensions/parallel universes. They could bring back one of the original characters for a short time to help explain what's going on.
Remington Steele (1982-87) (1982)
A detective series about a woman who opens up an agency under her own name, but is unable to get any clients due to her gender; so she creates a fictional male partner whom she names Remington Steele and hires an attractive con-man to be the face.
In the original, the two leads carry on a casual romantic relationship; but what if in a reboot she's just not that into him no matter how much he flirts or tries to seduce her?

Sacrilege, I know; but how about a reboot of The Golden Girls centering around a brand new set of old biddy characters, and have Betty White make a guest appearance; reprising her role as Rose for an episode or two?
My So-Called Life (1994)
A critically acclaimed high school drama series that really shouldn't have been cancelled after only one season. I think someone should reboot it for a new generation.
Gilligan's Island (1964)
I'm sure people would probably consider this to be one series that Hollywood shouldn't touch, but I think it could be fun to see a modern updated version of Gilligan's Island.
It's been over 35 years since this drama series ended. Society has changed quite a bit since then, so it'd be awesome to see a reboot of "thirtysomething" set in the now. Seeing how today's 30 year olds navigate their lives. The similarities and differences between now and then.
In the original sitcom, the women do interior designs; but perhaps in a reboot they could be video game designers.
Recently, it's been announced that shows like "Charmed", "Roswell", "Magnum P.I.", "Cagney & Lacey", and "Greatest American Hero" would all be getting reboots. Most of the attempts at rebooting a series in the past were poorly received by audiences and so didn't make it beyond a first season.
This is a list of TV shows that I think, if handled correctly, could have successful reboots.
