Kyle: A funny film, the Kiss references were funny. Paul Rudd's always good. Better than most contempory comedies. The coffee shop looked suspiciously similar to the one from Zack and Miri Make a Porno... 8/10.
Mone: I didn't expect to like it because it had Seann William Scott in it. I liked Paul Rudd in it because I haven't seen him in anything except Friends. 6/10.
"I wanna rock and roll all nite and part of every day"

The Wrestler (2009)
4/1/2010
Kyle: A clever, heartfelt film about a fall from grace anyone can relate to. Mickey Rourke is very good in it.
"The only ones gonna tell me when I'm through doing my thing, is you people here. You people here... you people here. You're my family."
9/10.
Mone: A realistic portrayal of how family and friends are far more important than fame and fortune.
"When you live hard and you play hard and burn the candle at both ends... in this life, you can lose everything you love, everything that loves you."
6/10.

V for Vendetta (2006)
5/1/2010
Kyle: The concept was interesting but not played out to its full potential, V's character was slightly too simple and Natalie Portman was shockingly poor. It looked great though and certain scenes were very well done.
"Beneath this mask there is more than flesh. Beneath this mask there is an idea, and ideas are bulletproof."
7/10
Simone: I liked the visuals of the film, the concept was also really good even though I hate masks. Natalie Portman was rubbish. The best part was where all the people just stood waiting, it gives me goosebumps.
"A building is a symbol, as is the act of destroying it. Symbols are given power by people. A symbol, in and of itself is powerless, but with enough people behind it, blowing up a building can change the world. "

Phoebe in Wonderland (2008) (2008)
21/1/2010
Kyle: A bittersweet, psychadelic trip through the mind of a disturbed 9 year old girl. Enlightening and enchanting in equal measure, Patricia Clarkson is superb, I didn't like Felicity Huffman in it though. Elle Fanning should be a star.
"At a certain part in your life. Probably when too much of it has gone by. You will open your eyes and see yourself for who you are. Especially for everything that made you so different from all the awful normals. And you will say to yourself, "But I am this person." And in that statement, that correction, there will be a kind of love."
8/10
Simone: A serious issue being portrayed with care and originality was good to see. Something that is often seen in films as dark is seen as bright, instead of being labeled an outcast she is seen as special. Elle Fanning and Ian Colletti played their roles perfectly.
"How nice it is to have a place where things aren't fixed. It's all the opposite there, you know. It'd be nice if it were the same here."
