Carrie (2013)
Okay, I have never seen the original, but I knew from the start that this was a remake and therefore would get a lot of anger from the interwebs. But I figured I'd still give it a shot. I actually really loved it up until the pivotal moment in the film and then it just got really cheesy and predictable. That's where the acting went to hell, too. Before that point(I'm sure you are aware of the "point") I was impressed. After, I was left thinking, "damn. That was almost good."

Bad Johnson (2014)
If you look at my lists you know that I go on movie kicks. This month my kick is apparently crappy movies Guilty pleasures with little to no real value. This fits the bill.

Coraline (2009)
We have began a new unit in film studies: animation and SFX! YESSS! Coraline is one of my favorites, so I went back to watch it again and damn, it is so creepy. Maybe even scarier the second time around! I love claymation when it's done RIGHT, and this film does it better than right. It does it near perfect.

Alright, time to make a confession: I never really jumped on the Avatar train. Sure, I saw it in theaters, but I was not blown away like most people were. Yes, the graphics are amazing, but the story itself was just too similar to ones that I had seen before. Beautiful movie, but not my favorite.

These just aren't my kind of movies. I suppose that it was a decent enough watch, but I am never impressed by mockumentaries.

The Birth of a Nation (1915)
Holllly racism. I know that it's a product of it's time, but still. Shew, this one really takes the cake. And I honestly didn't see the appeal to the overall story.
