Overboard (2018)
Tomatometer Guess: 30%.
Actual Score: 30%. A rare perfect guess. Nothing much to this, just a generic rom-com. No more, no less.

Life of the Party (2018)
Tomatometer Guess: 39%.
Actual Score: 40%. Once again, Ben Falcone directs another obvious star vehicle for his wife Melissa McCarthy, and once again, we have to suffer through a lazy, unfunny, cliche and cheaply made comedy that evokes more groans than laughs.

Deadpool 2 (2018)
Tomatometer Guess: 78%. Ryan Reynolds returns as the eponymous Merc With the Mouth in Deadpool 2. This time, the loquacious anti-hero forms a team of super-powered mutants to go up against Cable (Josh Brolin).
Will the studio be able to make lightning strike twice, or will this film make people hate Deadpool as much as the people he kills?
Actual Score: 83%. Despite a few pacing issues, and some jokes missing the mark, Deadpool 2 is the rare comedy sequel that is on a par with the first.
The humor is still on point, Ryan Reynolds is still hilarious as the titular main character. The new editions to the cast are also great, with Josh Brolin serving as a great villain in the form of Cable, and Zazie Beatz proving to be a delight as Domino.
Perhaps the best thing about Deadpool 2 however, is its heart. This movie has a more heartfelt and emotional story than the first and is all the better for it.
Overall, if you want a good laugh and need something to cure your post-Infinity War blues, than this is the movie for you.

Solo: A Star Wars Story (2018)
Tomatometer Guess: 72%. After the divisive reactions to 'The Last Jedi', will this spin-off prequel be able to satisfy moviegoers, or will it be the beginning of the end of the series?
Actual Score: 71%. Solo is not as good as The Force Awakens or The Last Jedi, but I found it a tad more enjoyable than Rogue One.

Tomatometer Guess: 80%.
Actual Score: 85%. Upgrade is an impressive directorial debut for Leigh Wannel. It has well-choreographed and uniquely shot action scenes, a surprising sense of humor, a thought-provoking and emotional core, and an ending that will leave you speechless. I'd highly recommend it.

Action Point (2018)
Tomatometer Guess: 31%. Say what you will about Johnny Knoxville and his passion for performing dangerous stupid stunts, the man is good at what he does and Action Point looks to be no exception.
Actual Score: 18%.

JWR's rating:

Hereditary (2018)
Tomatometer Guess: 80%.
Actual Score: 93%. Hereditary is less of an overt horror film and more of a drama with a horror element. It's an unsettling drama featuring great performances from its entire cast. Toni Collete is captivating as the mother who's reached her breaking point, Gabriel Byrne is great as the father who's struggling to keep his sanity, and newcomer Milly Shapiro is very impressive as the troubled daughter.
Most of the scares in the movie come from its bleak atmosphere and disturbing imagery rather than jump scares (though there's plenty of that).
As with most of A24's films, Hereditary is not for everyone, and I can see many casual moviegoers being bored by it. However, for those who can appreciate the slow buildup and performances, I say go watch it.

Incredibles 2 (2018)
Tomatometer Guess: 93%. Writer-Director Brad Bird returns to helm this much anticipated follow up to one of Pixar's most popular films.
Actual Score: 94%. Though never quite surpassing the original film, Incredibles 2 comes pretty damn close. It carries over the family dynamic from the first film, has thrilling action sequences, and is a perfect companion piece to the original.

Tag (2018)
Tomatometer Guess: 73%. While Tag won't provide answers as to Hawkeye's absence in Avengers: Infinity War, it will probably be a hilariously good time at the movies.
Actual Score: 57%. The plot is as thin as they come for Tag, but the chemistry between the cast is what sells it.

JWR's rating:

Tomatometer Guess: 70%. The sequel to the 2015 monster hit Jurassic World is the fifth overall film in the series and marks the franchise's 25th Anniversary.
Will it be a fun adventure 65 million years in the making, or will it only make viewers wish for the series to go extinct?
Actual Score: 50%. Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom is a brainless, mindless, and often silly, yet entertaining film with thrilling action scenes and nifty special effects. In other words, it's a Jurassic Park Sequel.

Actual Score: 67%. Despite the overwhelming product placement, Uncle Drew is surprisingly amusing and funny.

JWR's rating:

Tomatometer Guess: 90%. This sequel to 2015's Sicario sees Benicio De Toro reprise his role as the titular assassin.
Actual Score: 64%. While lacking some of the subversiveness and depth of the first film, Sicario: Day of the Soldado is still a tense and enjoyable, if bleak, thrill ride.
