Tomatometer Guess: 32%. While I'm a fan of Natalie Dormer's work on Game of Thrones and other works, I doubt that this film will utilize her talent take advantage of its admittedly creative premise.

Actual Score: 13%. The Forrest is a watchable horror film with decent acting and creepy moments, but it's too generic leave much of a lasting impression.

Side Note: Considering how terrible horror movies in January are, this one's not half bad.

Tomatometer Guess: 33%

Actual Score: 55%. Better score than I expected. For as much as we lambast Michael Bay for his work on the Transformers movies, 13 Hours reminds us that the man can make a decent film when he puts in the effort.

It's tense, it's well shot, the actors are very good in their roles, and the movie pays respect to the military without being overly patriotic.
JWR's rating:

Tomatometer Guess: 24%. After the first movie became a huge hit, it was a surprise to nobody that there would be a sequel.

Actual Score: 16%. I hope you were a huge fan of the first Ride Along, because the sequel is almost a shot for shot retread of it, except this time, the humor is predictable and awkward, and Ken Jeong is added to the mix as an incredibly annoying sidekick.
JWR's rating:
People who added this item 80 Average listal rating (64 ratings) 2.5 IMDB Rating 3.4
Tomatometer Guess: 18%. How ironic is it that the first two animated films of 2016 are about Bears? But whereas one of them looks like somebody put genuine effort and passion into it, another looks like a cheap Direct-To-DVD film that somehow got a theatrical release. If you can't guess which is which, then I don't know what to say.

Actual Score: 0%. Norm of the North is an absolute mess. The animation is cheap and hideous, the plot is somehow both too simple and too complicated, the voice acting is flat and uninspired (Save for Bill Nighy.), and the environmental message is forced. However, the worst thing about Norm of the North is its crummy excuse of a script.

Not only does the script pander to kids with juvenile toilet humor and try to hard to be cool and hip, but it steals characters and elements from other, better animated films (Ex: The Lemmings are a rip off of the minions from Despicable Me).

If there's any positive I have after seeing this, it's that every other animated film coming out this year will look even better in comparison to this.

The 5th Wave (2016)
Tomatometer Guess: 39%. Chloe Grace-Moretz stars in what looks like the teenybopper version of Independence Day. Given that most YA Novels turned movies (with the exceptions of Harry Potter and The Hunger Games) are terrible, I have little to no expectations for this film.

Actual Score: 20%. The sad thing about The 5th Wave is that it started off pretty well and had the potential to be interesting. But the movie falls apart in the second and third act when it lifts from like every other YA movie ever made. The plot is nonsensical, the effects are laughably poor, the Dialogue is insipid (Particularly when it comes to the romance), and the pacing is horrible.

P.S. Chloe Grace-Moretz seriously needs to fire her agent.

Dirty Grandpa (2016)
Tomatometer Guess: 61%.

Actual Score: 8%.
JWR's rating:

Tomatometer Guess: 86%. The final installment in the Kung-Fu Panda trilogy looks to end the series on an action packed and hilarious high note.

Actual Score: 80% Kung Fu Panda 3 Ends the series on a funny, action-packed, and heartfelt note. While personally, I enjoyed the second more, this is still a very solid animated film.
JWR's rating:
People who added this item 142 Average listal rating (93 ratings) 6 IMDB Rating 6.8
Tomatometer Guess: 60%.

Actual Score: 61%. The Finest Hours is very entertaining during the sequences on the ship, but it looses its steam when cutting back to the drama on land. It's uneven at times, but still worth checking out.
JWR's rating:
People who added this item 79 Average listal rating (54 ratings) 3.1 IMDB Rating 3.5
Tomatometer Guess: 12%. The Wayans Brothers return to bring you a parody of Fifty Shades of Grey which is sure to feature dated pop culture references and offensive humor.

Actual Score: 18% You know something's wrong when you can't make a parody of Fifty Shades Of Grey funny. The "humor" consists of lazy sex gags of jokes that are so predictable, that a blind person could see coming. There are a few legit funny jokes, but not enough for me to recommend this film.
JWR's rating:
People who added this item 133 Average listal rating (69 ratings) 5.9 IMDB Rating 5.9
Tomatometer Guess: 56%.

Actual Score: 38%. The fact that this movie had numerous delays, had little marketing and was released in only 500 theaters is very telling of the film. The final result is a boring, oddly paced film with an uninteresting villain and a weak main character.
JWR's rating:
People who added this item 463 Average listal rating (288 ratings) 6.2 IMDB Rating 6.3
Hail, Caesar! (2016)
Tomatometer Guess: 90%. It's a Coen Brothers film starring George Clooney. No further explanation required.

Actual Score: 79%. As a love letter to classic Hollywood, Hail, Caesar! succeeds with flying colors. The Set pieces are well put together, and the dialogue is snappy. However, the story isn't strong enough to make it feel cohesive all the way through.

It's enjoyable, but some may be disappointed.
JWR's rating:
People who added this item 338 Average listal rating (184 ratings) 5.6 IMDB Rating 5.8
Tomatometer Guess: 52%.

Actual Score: 44%. Lower than I thought, but slightly better than I was expecting. Anyone who's only watching this for the zombies will be disappointed to learn that the movie focuses more on the Pride and Prejudice aspect and that the zombies don't appear until about 40 minutes in. Still, when it gets to the zombies, the movie is highly entertaining.

Deadpool (2016)
Tomatometer Guess: 75%. Whether or not the movie will live to its clever marketing campaign depends on it not overdoing the tongue in cheek humor and being too quippy.

Actual Score: 84%. Violent, action-packed, and shamelessly raunchy, Deadpool is the most refreshing superhero film in years. But what may be most surprising about it is how likable the eponymous hero is.

If Batman V Superman and Civil War can top this, than 2016 is looking to be the best year for superhero movies ever.
JWR's rating:
People who added this item 301 Average listal rating (188 ratings) 5 IMDB Rating 4.7
Zoolander 2 (2016)
Tomatometer Guess: 65%. Will this sequel prove to be worth the wait, or will it prove to be as dated and absurd as Mugatu's fashion sense?

Actual Score: 21%. While the characters are still fun to watch and there are some funny moments scattered throughout, Zoolander 2 is a disappointing follow up to the first.
JWR's rating:
People who added this item 90 Average listal rating (49 ratings) 6.5 IMDB Rating 7.1
Race (2016)
Tomatometer Guess: 70%.

Actual Score: 61%.
JWR's rating:
People who added this item 302 Average listal rating (206 ratings) 4.7 IMDB Rating 5.4
Tomatometer Guess: 16%. While this film does look ridiculous, I have faith in director Alex Proyas to make it somewhat entertaining.

Actual Score: 12%. Gods Of Egypt is essentially the Clash Of The Titans remake with an Egyptian paint job. Full of bland characters, clunky dialogue, and an overwhelming amount of CGI, this is a film that is so jaw-droppingly dumb that it's hilarious.
JWR's rating:
People who added this item 214 Average listal rating (139 ratings) 5.9 IMDB Rating 6.3
Triple 9 (2016)
Tomatometer Guess: 91%. With a star-studded cast and a brutal story, this could be the first great film of 2016.

Actual Score: 58%. Though well-acted and thrilling at times, Triple 9 is held back by its sluggish pacing, which makes the film disjointed and feel longer than it really is.
JWR's rating:
People who added this item 656 Average listal rating (502 ratings) 7.2 IMDB Rating 6.9
Tomatometer Guess: 87%.

Actual Score: 88%. The Witch, at its core, is a dramatic period piece about a family being torn apart by a supernatural entity. The acting is superb, the production values are impressive, and it's horror comes not from gore or jump scares, but from its bleak atmosphere and psychological themes.

However, this is not a traditional horror film, which may disappoint some people. Still, I'd highly recommend it
JWR's rating:
People who added this item 194 Average listal rating (136 ratings) 6.9 IMDB Rating 7.4
Tomatometer Guess: 82%.

Actual Score: 72%. Eddie The Eagle does have its inspirational movie cliches, but the film is so modest and likable that it makes up for it.

Surprisingly, the real show stealer isn't Hugh Jackman, but Taron Egerton, who is sweet and lovable as Eddie Edwards.
