Battle Royale is said to be the inspiration for the Hunger Games. Regardless of that, Battle Royale did make me curious. It actually is worth watching and I doubt that any Hunger Games movie can top it.

While watching A Serbian Film, I wished that I had one of the memory erasing gadgets from Men In Black. What is worse is that it is not even the sickest movie I have ever seen.
This one is definitely intended to shock us, but its reputation makes it not really shocking at all. It even gets boring at times!

Aftermath (1994)
Ah, necrophilia.
All there is to this movie is that the main character is a mortician who is a necrophiliac.
Giggity, giggity, goo indeed.

When I learned that there is a third Human Centipede movie, I just had to know how they were going to top the previous two. It isn't really sicker than the second one. What makes it the best Human Centipede movie is the "so shitty it's good" factor. At times, it felt like it was a dark comedy. Dieter Laser's performance as Warden Boss is insane, over-the-top brilliant. Boss makes his previous character Dr. Heiter seem sane.
I suspect that infamous Maricopa county Sheriff Joe Arpaio may have been the inspiration for Boss. "Arpayaso" (as my mom and I, as well as some other people refer to Arpaio) has a reputation for being sadistic and racist like Boss and HC3 is set in the U.S. Southwest. Make of that what you will.

What in Max's bunghole did I watch?
The world of Mad Max is certainly fucked up, as would be expected of post-apocalyptic worlds. However, it felt like there is little to no explanation. What are the stories behind the different characters? Why are they the way they are?
There are also the funny names of some of the characters. The name Nux made me think of the apparently worthless Joe Nuxhall baseball cards on an episode of Married With Children. Then there is the character called the Doof Warrior, but so what if he has a funny name? That flame throwing guitar is badass.

More movies I have seen, driven by my curiosity - and possibly masochism. Masochism could also explain why I still live in Arizona, but that's a different story.
Movies will be added as I see them.
