Kid A - Radiohead
My favorite album of all time, and the one that really convinced me that music is a true art form, no matter what genre. Even though I hated it on the first listen, it just keeps getting better the more I listen to it.

My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy - Kanye West
It may be true that Kanye West is an asshole, but he's also a really good producer, and somehow, when you combine the two together, and the fact that it finally makes good use of hacks like Rick Ross and Nikki Minaj, it results in an amazing listen. This is Kanye at his purest form. (To me at least)

Pinkerton - Weezer
It's very rare that I sympathize with a 27-year-old nerd wondering about how an 18-year-old Japanese girl masturbates, but...it found a way. Same goes for the rest of the album (Minus the masturbation part).

The Marshall Mathers LP - Eminem
I can see why many people hate Eminem, especially his output after Encore "shudders". But with his early work, I had a sense that he was using it as an outlet for the anger he felt inside. It does have lots of filler (The skits - save for the public service announcement -, Under the Influence, Bizzare's verse on Amnityville, Bitch Please II), but when the album has it moments, it really does shine.

There's a scene in Quentin Tarantino's Jackie Brown where someone asks the title character why she still collects vinyl if cd's are the new thing, to which she responds by saying that it's like collecting an artifact in the past that still good. Ironically, this now applies to CD's as well, but I still buy them not only to add them to my mp3, but because of a sense of personal ownership.
I've decided to keep a public track of the albums I owned, and, so I don't just bore the viewer, decided to add short opinions on each of them.
Hope you enjoy and thanks for letting me waste your time.
