A great addition for the Avengers phase two.
There's some really good action scenes in this movie that look great and actually deliver excitement, making me want to keep watching. There also weren't too many boring scenes in this movie, unlike in Thor and Iron Man. This movie has been my favourite installment from phase two so far(I haven't seen Guardians of the Galaxy yet!), and second favourite of the entire saga, bested only by Avengers Assemble which just edges it.
The elevator scene is pretty damn awesome (and not as cheesy as I thought it was going to be from the view of the trailer).
The story is a lot better than usual and lot less predictable in some parts, honestly I thought everything was going to work out in the end and Shield would just be reformed with smiles all round, so that was a somewhat pleasant surprise.
The addition of Falcon is pretty cool in this movie and gives it some great looking scenes, the old characters are good too and the Winter soldier himself is just badass with his metal arm.

Fantastic end to the trilogy.
I left the cinema immediately wanting to see the movie again.
The movie is a great way to cap off the trilogy, plenty of action, interesting characters and a cool story to keep me entertained. Thorin going crazy was done pretty well I thought and it was also cool to see Thranduil finally in battle. It was also nice to see Elrond and Smaug back to their killing ways as well.
My favourite sequence in the film has to be the rescuing of Gandalf from the Dol Guldur fortress as the battle their is pretty badass, especially when Galadriel essentially kicks out Sauron and the nine. Also actually getting a slight look at what the nine looked like before they became the wraiths, when they were still men in armour is something I've always wondered about and wanted to see.
Legolas and Tauriel are still probably my favourite two characters in this movie as they are both back to kicking orc ass in totally ninja ways which is great fun to watch, although they do take a bit of a beating against some of the stronger beasties.

The Lego Movie (2014)
AMAZING MOVIE!
A must see, especially if you love or once loved lego!
Listen out for some pretty cool cameos too.
EVERYTHING IS AWESOME!

Neighbors (2014)
Biggest suprise so far!
Bitched and moaned when buying tickets for this as I wanted to go see the new Captain America, however eventually got in and watched it. It turned out to be pretty funny all the way through with some really hilarious moments.
There were some down sides to this movie however, the start, for example, wasn't too great and much of the screen time which just focused on Seth Rogen and Rose Byrne's characters was kind of lame and boring, however this always turned around when other characters were present.
In conclusion it was a good film that I will definitely be watching again at some point! (It also seems make me want to drink loads and rave out at a massive party!!)

X-Men: Days of Future Past (2014)
Cool movie!
Always enjoy a(n?) X-Men movie and this latest installment was no exception, it actually had a good story, like First Class, and loads of decent action scenes. Was nice to see some fresh faces as mutants we hadn't seen before, Blink and Quicksilver being my favourite new additions, Trion was pretty badass as well.
Seeing the old characters was great too, especially the beast that is Michael Fassbender as Magneto. Although I was sad to hear that some of the characters from First Class had been killed off, such as Azazel and Emma Frost.
That after credits scene was quite intriguing too, seeing Apocalypse and his four horsemen.
FG93's rating:
Godzilla (2014)
This film was pretty sweet to be honest, especially in 3D.
Heard a lot of people bitching and moaning about this movie, even before it came out, but if you just sit and watch this with no saw-the-original snobbery or stuck-up expectations then it makes for an enjoyable film.
It was pretty cool that it wasnt't just a standard remake as well, and they actually switched up the story.
FG93's rating:
Guardians of the Galaxy (2014)
Was expecting more.
I had heard so much hype about how good this film was but I still couldn't be bothered to watch it as, for some reason, it didn't really appeal to me, even though I love superhero/comic book movies, and to be honest I didn't really find it amazing at all. Some of the action was okay and there were a few funny moments but I couldn't really get into it. Definitely need a second viewing soon to see if this changes.
Rocket was pretty cool.
FG93's rating:
Sin City: A Dame to Kill For (2014)
Very dissapointed!Have to say I was expecting a lot more, especially after all this time waiting for it. It's not that it was a bad movie as I actually thought it was okay, it's just that it couldn't match The first Sin City on interest into the characters or the story.
There were positives and Jessica Albas character Nancy getting a decent role was one of them, as she actually gets to kick some ass this time around, and lets not lie, she looks damn good in this movie!
I was also happy to see Marv back, and kicking more ass than ever. As for the new additions Joseph Gordon-Levitt was pretty cool, Josh Brolin kind of sucked and Eva Green was just okay.
FG93's rating:
The Amazing Spider-Man 2 (2014)
Definitely an improvement on the first.
I enjoyed this movie a lot more than the first as I found there were a lot better action sequences and a more interseting story to follow. However I still can't stand Andrew Garfield and I'm not sure why.
FG93's rating:
RoboCop (2014)
A pretty cool movie.
I was distracted by all the action and shooting throughout the movie that I didn't notice the fairly lame storyline, which was pointed out to me later, still a decent and watchable film overal.
Another great performance from Gary Oldman!
FG93's rating:
Need for Speed (2014)
Meh.
Wasn't too bad, to give it credit, some of the sequences were pretty cool and made for enjoyable parts of the film and a lot of the cars used were pretty sweet looking.
A few of the characters were pretty interesting, however others seemed boring and forced which put a downer on the movie. Having said that, Aaron Paul is still a boss, would of liked to hear him call someone a bitch in this film though.
FG93's rating:
300: Rise of an Empire (2014)
Pretty Average.
This movie was a bit of a let down to be honest, maybe my expectations were too high since the first movie is one of my favourites. I think I definitely need to watch this movie again pretty soon to make sure of my rating, and give it another chance.
The movie was still watchable and their were some good scenes, if you can look past the lame new characters, I especially enjoyed Eva Green's parts, her character was both brutal and cool.
That head stomp by the horse though...
FG93's rating:
Not too bad.
I found this movie to not be as bad as most people have
made out, however it still wasn't anything special, just average. I thought it was pretty bland in quite a few areas, and could of done with something more to spice it up a little. It was definitely lacking on the comedy, with only a few, hardly-memorable parts in there.
FG93's rating:
Watched this while drinking with some mates at their new flat so rating may not be that accurate! However I'm pretty sure it wasn't amazing, a few laughs but nothing off the charts.
FG93's rating:
Cabin Fever 3: Patient Zero (2014)
Wasn't expecting much, didn't get much.
Not really the type of movie I would watch but it was on TV and I was chilling with my mate and so we ended up watching the whole thing, can't say I was dissapointed as I wasn't expecting it to be at all good, it was slightly better than the second installment, which I saw a week later, but for some reason I haven't seen the first one.
