Honestly, I wasn't expecting much from this flick but since Nick, my step-son, was really eager to check it, I bought the dvd to watch the damned thing with him. I have been meaning to see this as it has a pretty interesting cast and I love disaster movies. I happen to really enjoy Paul W.S. Anderson except for The Three Musketeers remake. I am a big fan of disaster movies and it's not common to see one that takes place so far in the past which really made me interested in this one. "13.01.2017 Not boring, but the depiction of the catastrophe in Pompeii is totally unrealistic (despite the fact that the filmmakers claim to have put emphasis on realism). Everything was exaggerated and I believe there was no tsunami at all. The fights and the CGI-effects where good, but the story is very simple. my rating: 6,5"
