I had high hopes for this movie. I guess I was thinking that it would be a newer version of Born Free or something. I was wrong. Very wrong.
I was horrified by the actions of the humans in the movie and can't believe that it was advertised as a children's movie.
Definitely not Born Free and definitely never in my DVD collection.

There was a time when Jean-Jacques Annaud was one of the most inspiring French directors, one of the few who managed to develop a decent career abroad, but those days are long gone, I’m afraid.
