"Tämän elokuvan pääroistosta Äiti Mengelekin voisi olla ylpeä. Jossain Soulin peräkorvessa 30-luvulla tehdään ihmiskokeita pienillä koulutytöillä, joista on tarkoitus luoda superihmisiä. Korealaiseksi elokuvaksi kyseessä on varsin tylsä ja sekava kokonaisuus, joka ei oikein herätä mitään fiiliksiä. Toki jotkut kohtaukset on kuvattu kauniisti ja visuaalinen ilme on muutenkin kautta linjan laadukasta. En kuitenkaan löytänyt tästä sitä kauhua, jota tämä kuukausi huutaa."
