The sinister Count Oetsch scandalizes the aristocratic social gathering at Castle Vogelod as he announces his intention to “crash” the festivities. Baroness Safferstätt is expected shortly, and the guests are well-aware of the rumors that Count Oetsch murdered the baroness’ late husband. Oetsch refuses to leave, vowing that he will reveal the identity of the real killer. Before the weekend is through, the Count and Baroness will reveal secrets too shocking to be believed!

" Date: 11/30/2021 Viewed: Blu-Ray First Viewing Note: I've had the Blu-ray of this film on my shelf for the past two years and have never gotten around to watching it until now. I adore F. W. Murnau's work (despite the fact that the majority of his films are lost), and I'd been wanting to see The Haunted Castle for years. While it isn't one of F. W. Murnau's best films, it isn't a bad one either. I'm glad it wasn't lost because it's an important piece of silent film history. Despite the title"
