"Set in 1931 aboard a merchant ship, briefly harboured in South America. A young woman boards the ship as a passenger, resulting in disharmony among the superstitious crew members. An interesting movie mostly based on a love triangle between two of the ship members and a female passenger. The story also revolves around the crew's reactions to their stern captain's emotional dissolution in the face of feminine charm. Apart from the staff threatening mutiny due to bad potatoes being served to them"
