Best Movies of 2021 (43 movies items)" 2021 Director: Chloé Zhao Her 3rd movie My 1st movie watched from the director I love the use nearly all non-actors. The cinematography is effective and the two actual actors are strong. McDormand is a force and this had to a be a tough acting job, which makes it more impressive. The pacing was deliberately slow, but I didn't find it necessary, especially since there was no plot. Movies the giraffe watched in 2021: November (50 movies items)"First viewing - Nov. 13th Much ado has been made about Nomadland, and I can see why. The cast is excellent all around, and there are some wonderfully human moments on display. I found the story to be quite fascinating, looking at real-life modern-day American nomads in a way that's respectful of their lives. I personally would have liked to see more POC characters, but perhaps this lifestyle is only embraced by white people. I liked it well enough for what it is, but it's nothing I'd go out of "
