"5.5. 2024 Ken Loach is known for supporting forgotten and oppressed people and "I, Daniel Blake" is no exception. It tells about an aged carpenter who survives a heart attack and the society that he has served for several decades betrays him when he needs help the most. Bureaucracy is merely interested in upholding the unnecessarily complex system while treating people as if they were nothing more than just numbers in statistics."

" Notes: I have been faithfully following Ken Loach for more than 20 years and, to be honest, I has been a while that the guy delivered something so impressive. Indeed, Loach managed to deliver one of his best movies which was rather unexpected as many including myself thought that his best movies were already behind him. It's a position no one would want to be in, forced to sacrifice your own health or lose everything you have worked so hard for. The viewer gets to witness the hurdles that seem purposely put there to hinder payments. How are people such as Daniel Blake su"

Well, I have been faithfully following Ken Loach for more than 20 years and, to be honest, I has been a while that the guy delivered something so impressive. Indeed, Loach managed to deliver one of his best movies which was rather unexpected as many including myself thought that his best movies were already behind him. Anyway, once again, he gave us another socially relevant and really powerful tale and, in this case, it was even more heartbreaking as it all felt terribly familiar. "Directed by: Ken Loach Plot: After having suffered a heart-attack, a 59-year-old carpenter must fight the bureaucratic forces of the system in order to receive Employment and Support Allowance.
