I'll start by saying that this is by no means a masterpiece. It's very flawed with quite large plotholes and very visible mistakes. This John Cassavetes thriller stars Gena Rowlands as Gloria, a tough-talking New York dame with a past she'd rather forget. When a neighboring family is killed by the mob, Gloria must call on her experience to protect the only survivor, a young boy. She expects trouble, but what she never sees coming is the mother-son bond that develops between her and the boy.

"30.11. 2020 A tough woman with criminal past must reluctantly protect a kid after his family got killed by gangsters. The two main characters have some fun and emotional moments together while they are escaping the gangsters but these few nice scenes don't save the film from awkward directing and aimless story. The ending is also disappointingly abrupt and it is not the only moment in this poorly written film that lacks proper explanations."
