This fictional WW1 dogfighting movie is 'loosely' based on the the Lafayette Escadrille squadraon, a French squadron that consisted of of American fighter pilots. And its true that casualities were heavy, but also true that did a lot of kills themselves, with 11 of them becoming aces. Seen in 2016 (310 movies items)"Quite enterntaining dogfighting movie set in the first World War. This wasn't anything really special, just an okay war film that had something different to offer with the setting and dogfighting. The Germans, whose face was shown, were laughable evil especially the Black Falcon who was just hamming it up and being Evil. James Franco had the same expression from the latter Spiderman-movies on his face most of the movie. The action was good enough though to keep you enterntained and the cgi used"
