There is some truth to the saying "You can't judge a book by its cover," but at the same time, it doesn't always apply. Following his surprising success with 'Ice Age', instead of making some sequels (which would still be produced by Blue Sky with some massive box-office returns), Chris Wedge decided to deliver some original work and he should be definitely praised for that choice. Description: Young Mary Katherine (M.K.) returns to her eccentric scientist father's home, but his all-consuming quest to discover a tiny civilization in the neighboring forest drives them apart. "2014/01/03 First viewing. @home w/ Kendra and Katy on Blueray Interesting story and fun concept, with a predictable plot. Still enjoyable and had great graphics. With the exception of the dad being ridiculous looking and less human than the rest."
