The Good & The Bad - Movies Watched In 2017 (472 movies items)"The Despicable Me movies I think has run it's course now. This, the 3rd doesn't have that cuteness and charm that the previous movies had. Don't get me wrong, it does has some funny moments which was quite good to see and enjoy but it's like more of the same. The Minions probably get the best laughs. Well, eventually, I hope it will be the last installment because, even if it was still watchable, the whole concept, which was already never properly developed even in the first movie, has started to seriously show its limitations, I'm afraid. Eventually, the biggest problem with this movie was the fact that it was such so over-crowded that they really struggled to give everyone something to do. Indeed, with each movie, they keep adding some new characters and, this time around, each character of group of characters got involved with their own very short and really half-baked subplot. Movies viewed in 2017 (338 movies items)"30/6/17 The third outing for Gru and his Minions, this time round taking on an 80's former child star while Gru comes face-to-face with the identical twin brother he didn't know he had. While the pre-credit sequence is hilarious and some of the jokes hit the target, this is a franchise that is getting slightly tiresome. Flashes of what makes this series fun aren't enough to make this a great film."
