Modern british western. Bogarde is ok as hero marked to die, but the happy end betrays him. Baker is always a good heavy.

"Having been diagnosed with a terminal disease, Bruce Campbell returns to a town in the Canadian Rockies to prove his grandfather's theory that there is oil in the hills. However, no one believes him and, to make things worse, the dastardly Owen Morgan plans to build a dam and flood the land where the oil lies. Based on a Hammond Innes novel, this movie is beautifully shot (with the Italian Dolomites substituting for Alberta, Canada) and mostly ably acted by a good cast led by Dirk Bogarde. The "
