Blow Out update feed
“Blow Out is one of those influential films in the horror genre that rarely anyone had heard of. People should know what Blow Out is and to me, it’s one of the few good American giallo films ever made. It has great acting, great scares and thrills, and not just one but TWO great performances from Travolta and Lithgow! This film has been referenced, parodied and even influenced by both pop culture in general and future horror films” read more
"14.2.2020, YLE Areena Siis vittu huh huh!! Esimerkillisen tyylikäs ja hallittu pulp-trilleri. Travolta on elämänsä vedossa."
"This might actually be Travolta's best work here. I am surprised it's not mentioned more. He is actually really good in it and the movie is actually really good. I honestly did not see this movie for so long because with a title like "Blow Out" I thought he was playing a hairdresser (Ha!) and the poster I first saw didn't tell me much to the contrary. I also, for some reason, didn't realize De Palma directed it. Not sure how I missed that! "
“De Palma pours the sum total of his talents into what is now viewed by many to be his magnum opus, "Blow Out". John Travolta (in a career-best turn) impeccably portrays a movie soundman and surveillance expert who inadvertently records the assassination of a Presidential hopeful. It is also revealed that the man killed in the accident was a famous governor. When the main character begins analyzing his materials he soon starts to suspect that he actually witnessed a murder instead of an accident. "Blow Out" is definitely one of the best films by De Palma and one of the most memorable thrillers of the 80s. Al"
" Old school directing Hitchcock style, wont be watching it again. no spoilers "
"Directed by: Brian De Palma A movie sound recordist accidentally records the evidence that proves that a car accident was actually murder and consequently finds himself in danger."
"26.8. De Palman elokuvissa on kiinnostavaa teknistä toteutusta, josta innostuu oikein kunnolla. Lähikuvat 80-luvun animaatiokameroista ja niiden vipstaakeista ja vempeleistä ovat aivan mahtavaa tavaraa, mutta John Travolta pönöttämässä juoneltaan mitäänsanomattomassa murhamysteerissä taas sieltä keskinkertaisuuden loputtomasta suosta."
