"Uno degli ultimi muti della coppia è una comica di una semplicità disarmante che però proprio per questo funziona alla grande. I nostri vendono alberi di Natale porta a porta e, imbranati come sono, non ne piazzano uno; quando arrivano a casa Finlayson, il rifiuto fa partire una serie di ripicche che portano alla distruzione totale. Una volta dato il via, pare che l'improvvisazione abbia trascinato gli attori nell'invenzione dei continui dispetti: di certo ne escono venti minuti tanto assurdi"
