It has been a while since I have seen this flick and, to be honest, I actually wonder how I actually ended up watching the damned thing in the first place. " pre-fame Beatles head for the seedy clubs of Hamburg in search of success. The band meet up with a group of trendy German beatniks, one of whom bass guitarist Stuart Sutcliffe falls in love with. Whilst best friend John Lennon can only watch, Sutcliffe has to choose between rock 'n roll and a new life in Germany. The film’s soundtrack, consists of original songs, given that The Beatles music is too expensive for film use. Critics liked the film, and audiences somewhat dig it too."
