Revenge well deserved and served cold...

Why so vengeful?
Well, his daughter was raped by the new queen's spoiled rotten sons. Her hands were cut off and her tongue was cut out. They put branches in her hands and stood her up on a pedestal to be the show for everyone that passed by. Two of Titus's sons were blamed for it and Titus was told that the only way to save their lives was to cut off his own hand, which he does. He still receives his sons heads.



The cold plate of justice:
Titus finds the two young princes who raped his daughter. He slits their throats, grinds them up and bakes them into a pie which he serves to their mother. She knows that she's eaten her own sons just before Titus kills her as well. Titus kills his own daughter. The king kills Titus. Titus's son kills the king. An ending that only Shakespeare could create.

Why so vengeful?
Nicole Kidman, an innocent woman comes to a town to escape from some unknown past, where she is instantly taken advantage of to the point of becoming a whore against her will for the entire male population. At one point, a townswoman begins to destroy a series of statues that Kidman has painsatkingly collected. She tells her that she will stop destroying the statues if Kidman can stop herself from crying.



The cold plate of justice:
My favorite piece of justice is when Kidman instructs her father to turn the gun on the townwoman's children and tell their mother that the children will stop dying if the townswoman can stop crying. She burns the town to the ground.

Why so vengeful?
Could be because he was beaten with a baseballe bat, tied up and stabbed, and then forced to watch as his wife was beaten, stabbed and raped, and his daughter was murdered. Of course, the courts did very little about this, and their killers went just about scott free.



The cold plate of justice?
Quite a few very well deserved platters served up here, but my personal favorite is the first revenge he takes, tricking the lead criminal into thinking he is about to capture and kill a cop, which turns out to be the justice seeker instead. The criminal paralyzes himself by grasping tiny needles on the gun filled with a paralyzing substance. He then wakes up to find himself securely fastened into a torture chamber where he is subsequently dismembered while he watches in a well placed mirror.

Why so vengeful?
Shosanna is a Jewish refugee hiding in Paris after a particular Nazi general famous for catching Jews in hiding murders her entire family by discovering their hiding place underneath the floorboards of a neighbor's home.



The cold plate of justice:
Shosanna has gained possession of her aunt's old movie theatre, where they have decided to host a propoganda festival featuring Hitler himself. She locks every last Nazi official into the theatre, and uses all of the highly flammable films that she has in the building to burn it to the ground around the SS high-ups.

Why so vengeful?
A college kid pretending to be the guy of her dreams lures her to a secret place and rapes her, ruining the rest of her college career and plunging her into a downward spiral of drugs and apathy to anything sexual.



The cold plate of justice?

Years later, she finds the rapist, lures him to her apartment, and seduces him into a vulnerable position, where he...and the audience...is subjected to being tied up, gagged, and raped for the last half hour of the movie by a rather large and not at all gentle male. SO deserved!

Why so vengeful?
She's got no reason, really. She's just sick of pedophiles on the internet. I understand.



The cold plate of justice:
She spends the entire film drugging him and allowing him to think that she is in the process of removing his testicles. In the end, the only option she leaves for him is to commit suicide.

Why so vengeful?
The little girl that Washington is hired to take care of is kidnapped right in front of him.



The cold plate of justice:
My particularly favorite piece is Washington's superb technique of sticking explosives into a man's anus and threatening to let them go off if the man does not tell him what he needs to know...and promptly allowing them to go off anyway when he gets his information.

Why so vengeful?
Bill shot her in the head on her wedding day. She was in a coma for years, but the worst part came when she discovered that Bill had also taken her daughter, with whom she was pregnant when she was shot in the head.



The cold plate of justice:
There are two films entirely dedicated to revenge, but my favorite moment has got to be the Bride's revenge on Bill. It takes her all of fifteen seconds and just a few quick hand movements to do what she'd been dreaming about for two whole movies. God bless the five=point-palm-exploding-heart technique!

Why so vengeful?
Bale has lived in a society that has abolished all emotion. He doesn't exactly have any more reason than the rest of the world to be angry, but since he stopped taking his emotion inhibitor, he's got the wrath and the skill to give some pretty good payback.



The cold plate of justice:
I enjoyed his justice against his new partner the most. After fighting his way through hundreds of men with guns and body armor, and then passing ten who were experts in swords, he comes across a fellow Cleric, supposedly just as skilled as him. It takes Bale all of one second and one swipe of the sword to leave the arrogant jerk literally faceless.

Why so vengeful?
Well, the poor dumb guy was falsely accused and imprisoned for life by his best friend all out of jealousy. His fiance, who happens to be pregnant with his child, thinks he died in prison and marries his best friend the traitor.



The cold plate of justice:
The guy makes it through prison, educates himself in prison, finds millions of dollars in treasure, and spends years and years plotting every intricate detail of an elaborate revenge. Of course my favorite moment is only the love of his life choosing him again over his traitorous friend.

Why so vengeful?
The poor teen has already grown up neglected and abused by one crazy witch of a mother. She gets it from both sides at school as well, but when a group of viscious popular kids convince poor Carrie that she has just won prom queen, only to pour pigs blood all over her in her defining moment, the girl has taken enough.



The cold plate of justice?
Yeah, I learned long ago not to mess with teenage hormones. Carrie, however, has got teenage hormones AND telepathic abilities. She blocks every entrance to the gym, kills several of her offenders in the process, and burns the rest of them alive as she sets fire to the gym. VERY few make it out alive. She even goes down in the fire.
