Thirteen Reasons Why - Jay Asher
I read this book in less than a day. I was hooked immediately and felt Clay's despair. A very sad story with an ending that might give hope again if not for Hannah at least for Clay. Jay Asher told the story well and got all the small stories entangled perfectly into the main story of Hannah's life.

This book made me sick, but fascinated me at the same time. I think people should know cults like that exist and how they treat people especially children.
Ness's rating:
Another horrifying book about child abuse in a sect, but again extremely interesting.

Why does Paolini feel the need to drag everything out? It was hard to get into the story again after waiting so long for this book and then I didn't care much about the characters anymore, which is good otherwise I would have been mad about the absolutely stupid ending. All in all it's a good book though and a way better final battle to kill the big bad than what Rowling came up with.

There's not much to say except that I love it! The characters feel very real and you either love or hate them, also I'm impressed how accurate the TV Show is to the book.
Ness's rating:
I still think it's great, but man this took forever to read. I have the feeling there are too many characters, so I can understand why Martin kills them all :D Although it's like for every dead character there sprout five new ones. At the end of this one I'm confused and not very interested to read on. I will, just not right now
Ness's rating:
With this one I wanted to read something on German again and I couldn't have picked a more boring book. There are three points in the book where you think the story might finally pick up, but after a few pages the problem is solved. I picked it, because I thought it might remind me of Anna Gavalda's books, but this consists of 540 pages of repetition and long sentences that make you gasp for air when read out loud. Nothing about this is great and I feel like I've wasted weeks of my life reading this.

Actually I don't know why this is so great. It's a lot of nonsense without a story.

It's just as great as Divergent. There were always new surprises and I ached to find out what was going on just like Tris.

When you start reading this book, you can't just put it down. It's really good, but I guess you can't read it twice and still enjoy it as much. I guess it's so great because you don't know what's going on and figure it out while reading.
Ness's rating:
This one is just as gripping as the first one, but it's seriously starting to piss me off not to know anything. I wonder how Thomas is able to control himself and not punch all those liars and traitors.
Ness's rating:
The Trilogy is great, made me angry, made me cry and made me laugh at some points. I wish I could read it again without knowing what happens, because like I already said, the part of not knowing makes it so great.

I like the writing style of this book, but it's not that interesting and he main character is a stupid ass so you don't really feel sorry for him, when he screws up time after time.
Ness's rating:
Way better than the second one. In almost every chapter something happens and it's gripping all through the book. Of course there are still chapters I don't care for, but even those have gotten better.
