My tastes

The masterful Souls-like gameplay returning in one of my new favourite settings. Bloodborne is the hard but fair, nail-biting gameplay, but with more emphasis on speed, making it more high-octane. With it's Lovecraftian setting, it somehow manages to excel at both power fantasy AND cosmic insignificance. The setting is amazing, the monsters are fantastically designed, the fights are fun as hell. Masterpiece.

Basically Super Mario 64 perfected. The controls have been tweaked to be both more versatile AND easy to understand. And the level design is so densely packed with stuff that virtually every square meter of the game map is interesting. The world is pretty, the music is classic koji kondo goodness. The whole game is a neat charming collectathon.

So far, the show's been great. I love the characters and the animation. But the world is what you're there for. The Abyss is so enchanting. A beautiful mix of wonder and horror for our moe blobs to descend deeper and deeper into. Props to the soundtrack for really selling the atmosphere and solidifying this show's identity. I can't wait to see what lurks deeper in Uncle Lovecraft's Fun-Time Murder Hole.

Fun agent action flick. Fairly interesting characterization, and fun fight scenes as always. Special props to the Winter Soldier himself, it's fun to see a the kind of bad-ass that he is.

Fun Space romp. This kinda sets the tone and feel of the good Marvel movies down the line. It's just fun characters travelling through technicolour-dream space. Good comedy (mostly) and fun action.
