The Tertiary Rider (or Wildcard Rider as I call them) is generally the third Kamen Rider to join a season.

While secondary Riders typically act as a foil to the main Rider, the Tertiary Rider generally - but not always - has some sort of shady business going on. Sometimes even being a full-on villain at one point.

Depending on what the Rider queue is like, they can debut from anywhere between episode three to 3/4 into the season. However, they are not always the third person to get Rider powers if the story has an "in media res" Rider (eg. White Wizard or Genm) and sometimes they might even be revealed as the first Kamen Rider of this power set and be the protagonist of a prequel work.
