Hail to the King, Raimi's masterpiece it's just timeproof, sadly, I just read somewhere else there's going to be remade :(, and worst than that, maybe Campbell won't hold the chainsaw and the boomstick in this new release!
I love the 1922 original version, but this one, The Remix, it's a great film, carefully elaborated, one hell of a underrated film
Dawn of the Dead (2004)
I love Romero's Dead Series, (BTW I own them all in dvd XD), But there's just nothing more terrifin' than thinking one of those SOB it's running after me :S
Amazing, almost perfect in every way, a truly fine piece for the gore-eater, no other i can remember holds the visual power this one holds...
Horror, Real Animal Death's on camera! Controversial, visceral, just for the hardcore fan's of gore!, If you can't take the turtle scene without flinchin' you are ready for The War my son :|
Fallen (1998)
Another underrated jewel, starring D. Washington in this great story, that includes demons, possesions (not deadite type) and a remarkable ending, and... wait!? I'm going to tell you a story, remember the time when I almost die?
Give the devil his due... There's no one since Lugosi's performance, that has been able to hold the scence of Dracula or a real vampire by the way, (except Boreanaz' Angel & Master's Spike IMO), but, anyway, just a great classic film, remember, I don't drink... whine :D
Halloween (1978)
Carpenter's marsterpiece, let us join his world of one of the most famous holydays in the year, Halloween, the atmosphere's just perfect, great film, Remember to keep some candies for the boogey man...
The Devil's Rejects (2005)
Great horror sequel to the not-so-great House of 10000 corpses, the devil's reject's it's a powerfull film with incredible actin's great torture scenes, and well, some intervention from Karma Police in the film
The Ninth Gate (1999)
Polanski's beautiful Ninth Gate cover's the whole mood of the film in one simple question; The devil... exists?
American Psycho (2000)
Before wearing the cowl, or been John Preston's clerig, Bale's performance's holds the thin line in wich the hold plot development, Bateman's Mind just... empty, but in the most shocking way, BTW, Dexter, here's daddy!
Bruiser (2000)
Very underrated film, for many people not some great flick, but if you take some time to examine the powerful message from the film' you will just love it or hate, And, I almost forgot, another one jewel from Romero's Mind, No zombies dude. ok?
Saw (2004)
I Know, it's nothing new for the rest of you, but let it hold it's own weight, nice plot, good acting, great twist ending.
Hostel (2006)
I Knowwwwwwwwwww, nothing new again, but roth's contribution to the bad called torture porn, it's just quiet entertainment!, BTW Takashi Miike, director from Audition, Ichi The Killer, Imprint, has a cameo in this film, just remember, YOU COULD SPEND YOUR WHOLE MONEY IN THERE!!!
From Dusk Till Dawn (1996)
Again, Tarantino, Rodriguez, who cares? it's funny, gory, great action-horror film, that doesn't have.... PSYCHOS? They look like psychos? Is that what they looked like? They were vampires. Psychos do not explode when sunlight hits them, I don't give a fuck how crazy they are!!!
Another remake from some classic horror explotaition film that really surpases with no problems the original one, really recomended!
Personally, I hate some remake's from the "Cinema World" films, there's just some films made to be inmaculated, like this one, that doesn't need a remake, this great vampire film it's one, (Among REC, Infernal Affairs Trilogy, or what, you tought The Departed was an original idea XD, maybe you were fooled like me ;) and others.
30 Days of Night (2007)
A really nice comic book adaptation that shows just how F.U. are the real old vampires, and what can a human do with their power.
OK, Not a horror film, but more like a experimental film like BEGOTTEN, (Really twisted), but kind of entertainment, reallyyyyyyyyyy original, BTW check bullet man, really nice action film!
Begotten (1989) (1991)
OK, the first character from the beggining of the film it's more shocking that the other zombies i' told you about, a really experimental bizarre and hard to find diamond that holds the real origin of life, from one of the most bizarre point of view and with the literally aplied BLACK AND WHITE Film, no gray my friends, because, we are just--- empty flesh :|
Specifically a couple of films that are not kind of critical acclaim but are just as GREAT as any other films in this list, TAKASHI MIIKE'S IMPRINT (Banned In USA), JOHN CARPENTER'S CIGARETTE BURNS (Personally my second best film) :d
The Last House on the Left (1972)
Remake, so-so, Original one, hardcore, another explotation film with lots of vengeance and, wait, Karma Police again, O-K,! Just remember, it's just a film, it's just a film!
Grindhouse (2007)
Maybe it's not great in the stricted sense of horror film, this double feature, it's a great tribute to the classic grindhouse films, tarantino's death proof contains the most powerfull car crash, it's just harder to surpass; and rodriguez' gory planet terror it's just entertainment
The Descent (2005)
Another UK release with incredibly suffocating scenes, that will leave you breathless :)
Paranormal Activity (2009)
Love it, or hate it!, This movie it's just so incredible in the last half hour, I think it would be better without all the BLABLABLA, but's nice:P, ok, this is my list, so, go ahead, comment! I would like to know your opinion :)
This is my selection of the finest movies of all time i've been able to see, no particular order, I love classic B&W films, but some remakes, just hold a little bit more hardcore :X, just enjoy and comment XOXO
