XXYYXX- aged 20
Favourite Album: XXYYXX
Maker of some of the most beautiful, dark, brooding music I have ever heard. As not released a proper album since 2012 but his new single Red released in 2015 shows the young man's talents. Precocious isn't enough for this electronic genius. Soundtrack to my life right now.
Love: Red

Grimes- aged 28
Favourite Album: Visions
DIY Grimes.
Hands down the best musical act out of Canada, Grimes is a DIY artist that writes, sings and produces her own music. The Grimes flavor is what pop should taste like. Should be way more mainstream but it's cool that she isn't. Her new album Art's Angel is a good follow up to her seminal album Visions where she locked herself in a darkened room and literally suffered for her art.
Lyrics: Know the Way
She giving up the cross
She'll end her faith in love
And I know the way

Wong kar wai:- aged 57
Favourite Movies: Chunking Express, 2046
Lines from Chunking Express:
If memories could be canned, would they also have expiry dates? If so, I hope they last for centuries.
We're all unlucky in love sometimes. When I am, I go jogging. The body loses water when you jog, so you have none left for tears.
In May's eyes, I'm no different from a can of pineapple.

Dirty Projectors- aged 30's
Favourite Album: Swing Lo Magellan
Lyrics like poetry. An experimental band. A cool set of girls and gals what else do I need to say:- Check them out their quite good if your open to something different.
Love: Just From Chevron
Where she collapses into the shore
Pump her like product and, ask her for more
There a man lay dying in ice
Gasket had busted out
Pinned him like a vice
As the sun sank into repose
A friend knelt down
Listened to his dying words as he froze
Tell my love don't mourn too intense
I'm going down to her great good expense
Now all the air is quiet and still
Wish I was back home on the knell of the hill
Don't think I won't try
When I close my eyes
Whatever the people will drive
I swear I will survive
All of my friends, my enemies too
Live in the shadows of the dirtiest few
Burns the land and it's paper to ruin
While winds always whistling an infinite tune
PulpRoman's rating:
Kanye West:- aged 38
Favourite Album :Yeezus
Yeezus is a cornerstone in my musical appreciation- He might be a Quentin Tarentino of music as he mashes and mixes different genres and sounds of music. Like Tarentino his albums might be accused of lacking substance but are as fun as hell to watch/listen. Being deliberately unconscious(mostly) of his outside behavior, I can separate the artist from his art and enjoy without any reservation plus I like his brash go for what you want attitude anyway even if it means seeming like an asshole. Yeezus is the culmination of West's frustration and an avant garde deviation from his usual soulful beats and lyrics.
Love: Blkkk skkkN Heads
For my theme song, my leather black jeans on
My by any means on, pardon I'm getting my scream on
Enter the kingdom but watch who you bring home
They see a black man with a white woman at the top floor they gone come to kill King Kong
Middle America packed in, came to see me in my black skin
Number one question they asking. Fuck every question you asking
If I don't get ran out by Catholics, here come some conservative Baptists
Claiming I'm overreacting like them black kids in Chiraq bitch

King Krule: Aged 20
Favourite Album: 6 Feet Beneath the Moon
The young man's vocal chords produce some of the most hypnotic and distinct sounds I have ever heard in music I may be young to the music game but it doesn't take much to know Krule is bringing something different through our speakers.. He may not last the next five years or I'll get tired of him in maybe two but for right now by expressing his current experience he captures the essence of mine. Let's hope his music and my life go down similar paths.
Love: Out Getting Ribs
And hate runs through my blood
Well my tongue was in love
But my heart was left above
I’ve got to be leaving now
I thought I’d never be shot down
But girl I’m black and blue
So beaten down for you
Well I’m beaten down in bloom
PulpRoman's rating:
SZA: aged 26
Favourite Album: Z
Love: Julia
SZA the female of the Top Dawg Entertaintment. SO I guess you could call her top bitch. Post R&B sound akin to Frank Ocean and FKA Twigs. Like Frank she needs to release her next project sighs.
Dying my daydreams in your bedroom (bedroom)
Waiting so long, said you’d be here soon (here soon)
How could you forget that
I’m the one who
Forgot all your mistakes
And dirty drawers
You know I care for you
When hell over earth came
I stood for you
Will you stand for me?
The man writes Poetry I dig.
Listeners:-
"Is there anybody there?" said the Traveller,
Knocking on the moonlit door;
And his horse in the silence champed the grass
Of the forest's ferny floor;
And a bird flew up out of the turret,
Above the Traveller's head:
And he smote upon the door again a second time;
"Is there anybody there?" he said.
But no one descended to the Traveller;
No head from the leaf-fringed sill
Leaned over and looked into his grey eyes,
Where he stood perplexed and still.
But only a host of phantom listeners
That dwelt in the lone house then
Stood listening in the quiet of the moonlight
To that voice from the world of men:
Stood thronging the faint moonbeams on the dark stair,
That goes down to the empty hall,
Hearkening in an air stirred and shaken
By the lonely Traveller's call.
And he felt in his heart their strangeness,
Their stillness answering his cry,
While his horse moved, cropping the dark turf,
'Neath the starred and leafy sky;
For he suddenly smote on the door, even
Louder, and lifted his head:--
"Tell them I came, and no one answered,
That I kept my word," he said.
Never the least stir made the listeners,
Though every word he spake
Fell echoing through the shadowiness of the still house
From the one man left awake:
Ay, they heard his foot upon the stirrup,
And the sound of iron on stone,
And how the silence surged softly backward,
When the plunging hoofs were gone.

Hugh Mundell: aged 21
A precocious talent who sang some of the most soulful reggae tunes over the production of Augustus Pablo. Not a bad match up if you ask me. Started to sing at about 14 and according to my media playlist made about 4 albums before he was killed in a shooting aged 21.
Love: Day of Judgement
The day is coming up so soon
When there shall be the fallin' of all capitalist
When I and I people should go on home
And vanquish Pope Paul down inna Rome, down inna Rome
On the day of Judgement, it sure gonna be dread
Do you hear what I say? It's gonna be dread
