Father Ted is about three Catholic priests based on Craggy Island. All three were banished there by Bishop Brennan... Father Ted for financial irregularities, Father Jack for alcoholism and womanising, and Father Dougal for the Blackrock Incident, which seems to have involved the permanent damaging of nuns. They share the house with Mrs. Doyle, the housekeeper, who has a strange obsession with making tea, and ridiculous mountains of sandwiches.
