Dangerous Game (1993)
Wow, there are a lot of very angry people in the movie about angry people making a movie about angry people.

DeVito does well in this serious turn, but it was just too depressing

It's always been one of my favorite Shakespeare plays and this adaptation was good enough.
Stehako's rating:
Baz Luhrmann's first feature is pretty decent considering the budget. I wasn't sure what kind of movie it wanted to movie thought, dramatic romance or a silly comedy, it went back and forth.
Stehako's rating:
Rookie of the Year (1993)
Okay, I know - but it was a fun movie as a kid and I've always loved baseball.
Stehako's rating:
A beautiful epic that cleverly shows the progress of the cultural revolution through a theater and the progress of the production of "Farewell My Concubine". With all this I just never got invested into the characters.
Stehako's rating:
Finally got to see this wonderfully weird early effort by Trey Parker and Matt Stone (Pre South Park). You can tell they have a gift for comedic musical lyrics but weren't yet finely tuned. The production is obviously quite poor but it adds character. Most importantly, it is legitimately funny.
Stehako's rating:
Director: Brian Gibson
His 4th Movie
My 2nd movie watched from the director
Angela Bassett truly is outstanding in this movie. I was so impressed with all of her scenes. The filmmakers did a good job of not holding back on the violence she inflicted, making it uncomfortable to watch and effective. But they also made it important to show her life was a lot more than just that.
