Stehako's rating:

Director: Sam Peckinpah
His 11th Movie
My 3rd movie watched from the director.
Peckinpah, The Godfather of the manly movie, delivers what I'd consider average in his filmography. There are plenty of bright spots in this, but overall the pacing made me antsy and I didn't really like any of the characters, making it tough to truly enjoy. Still, entertaining and a good 70's semi-action movie.

The Great Waldo Pepper (1975)
Scared the hell out of me as kid while still inspiring me to fly... but I still haven't... hopefully one day I'll get my license.
Stehako's rating:

Nashville (1975)
A typical meandering Robert Altman movie with several bright spots but just as many rough spots.
Stehako's rating:

French Connection II (1975)
Not as unhinged as the first, but Popeye is still entertaining and the story is engaging
Stehako's rating:

The Count of Monte-Cristo (1975)
Another telling of one of the greatest revenge stories
Stehako's rating:

3 Days of the Condor (1975)
Redford, in his strongest role as a younger actor, without the help of Newman. Luckily he had the great Faye Dunaway with him.
Stehako's rating:

Two characters who are a documentarian's dream. Even if nothing major happens they keep us hooked the whole time and continually have us asking more questions.
Stehako's rating:

The Eiger Sanction (1975)

Eastwood directs one of his more challenging films, which is this sprawling very-70s action film that is actually maybe one of the best climbing films I've seen.
Stehako's rating:

The Passenger (1975)
Antonioni film with one of the best long shots in film history
Stehako's rating:

Well, what can say about a film like this? It's all over the place, good, bad, weird, beautiful, ugly, loud, and then there's Elton John.
