Anime seen in 2014

I probably getting to get a lot of shit for saying this, but this is my favorite show of all time. Its not because of hype, I went too it with a open mind. Evangelion made a impact to me thanks to the characters and the theme. I really got into the characters, and the world itself. Each character has something really interesting about them and show in its own way shows it to you. Evangelion is more of a character drama with some action in the mix. While the plot could have mentioned more about the lore since its really interested, and the last two episode could have been done better with what they had left.

I really like the theme that you shouldn't run away from your problems, and that change can happen to even a emotional broken person. This show has something about it that makes you look at your life. I really wished I seen back in February of this year instead of last year when I had depression.

If you like character dramas and know how depression is like, there's a good chance you like it. If you don't like the psychology aspects in shows, or like the angst characters, you're not going to like it. If you want to experience a interesting show, go for it.

EoE improves on a lot of things. I like the execution of message a lot better as it was more realistic. The one in the show felt too much like a 180 turn which doesn't work that way. I really like how even as characters realized something about themselves, they still have problems to deal with. With great animation, music, and characters again really interesting, EoE ends with a big WTF bang.
I advise to watch the subbed as the English dub isn't good, but not 4Kids level of bad.

I went into it without knowing a lot about it. I really got into it. For the whole thing, my eyes were watery due the beautiful animation and the great story. It left me completely silent after it ended, I couldn't speak. Very few movies had this impact for me. Really glad I saw this in a theater.

I might have to watch this again to see if it holds up. I know one thing, its a lot better than that horrible Devil Survivor 2 anime.

This actually exists. A anime where a girl sleeps for about 45 minutes while repeating the same shots the whole time.

What were they thinking trying to put everything in a 20 minute OVA. It's rushed as fuck, there's no character interaction, no nothing.

I re-watched this for curiosity sake and I gave it too much credit. It is completely edgy as fuck. I see what they tried to do and it has interesting themes, but the execution is way off. The blood and nudity is there just for shock valve. When you think about it, it doesn't make any sense.

Speaking of sense, the characters are really a strange bunch. They make the strangest decisions and react in a way where no human being would react that way. There's even one character who takes everything surprising too well despite their past. Anyone else would be scarred for life.

So yeah, its not good, but its worth the experience.
