Adam Scott Films: Ranked

Adam Scott plays the role of Caleb Sinclaire, a cynical and severly depressed middle aged guy. He also seems to be an imsomniac, having not slept for about a week. The main contributor to his depression and craziness lies in the fact that his girlfriend cheated on him, and he still hasn't gotten over it. He becomes infatuated with his younger brother's new college girlfriend, someone Caleb is very skeptical of due to the fact that he thinks all women are sluts. Caleb and Emma soon realize they can no longer resist each others attraction to one another, and start up a secret, and somewhat dirty little relationship.

Honestly, I am almost exactly like Caleb some of the time, on my really bad days, and I found that I could relate to his character on a very deep level, and that made the movie even more enjoyable for me. Adam Scott is one of the best actors out there, and his ability to play any character the director asks him to is unbelievable. He is a very underrated actor I think, and he should definitely get just as much credit as most of the great stars in Hollywood. This movie is excellent, and his character is perfect.

Adam Scott isn't even close to the main character Step Brothers, yet he still manages to make me laugh every time I watch it. He plays Derek, Brennan's (Will Ferrell) cocky, money hungry, and selfish younger brother. He enters the film about halfway through, and starts to heckle the crap out both Brennan and Dale (John C. Reilly). Making fun of them whenever possible, and continually thinking he's better then everyone else. A lot of people might think that kind of character is annoying, but when it's Adam Scott in the role, you just can't go wrong. He should most definitely get more stardom then he's currently getting, because he is truly one great talent. I hope to see him in some more big roles in the future.
