Johnny Got His Gun (1971)
BEST MOVIE YOU SAW DURING THE LAST YEAR
I don't know if it's the best one...I can't remember all the movies I saw in 2011. But I really enjoyed that one.

MOST UNDERRATED MOVIE
Why does it have such a low rate on IMDB? I thought it was a fine remake. And this movie made me laugh big time. Every character is funny: yet, Tom Hanks is by far the most hilarious of them all.

Hairspray (2007)
MOVIE THAT MAKES YOU HAPPY
Catchy songs, nice costumes, John Travolta as a woman and...Christopher Walken. How can you not be happy?

A MOVIE THAT MAKES YOU SAD
When I watch a movie, I get very emotional...I even cried while watching a Pokemon episode once. But when I watch something as moving and raw and shocking as City of God , I can't help but feel shaken up even hours after the film has ended.

FAVORITE LOVE STORY IN A MOVIE
I guess this is an unusual choice...There are a lot of good love stories that I can think of, but I feel like nothing beats King Kong's devotion for Anne Darrow - and vice versa. If that's not love, then I don't know what it is!

MOVIE WITH THE MOST SURPRISING ENDING
I know I've watched a lot of movies that surprised me: "The 6th Sense", "Skeleton Key","Seven","American Psycho", "Fight Club"...And there probably are at least a dozen movies I just can't think of right now. But over all the ones that I just mentioned, "Twelve Monkeys" had the best ending. It also is a very underrated movie.

A MOVIE THAT YOU'VE SEEN COUNTLESS TIMES
I have a few classics like this one. I have probably seen Jaws about 15 times.

Sleepy Hollow (1999)
MOVIE WITH THE BEST SOUNTRACK
Being such a big Morricone fan, I myself am a little surprised that I didn't pick a Sergio Leone film. But Dany Elfman's music on that movie is admirable in every way. I love it and every Halloween, I bring the radio outside and I play the soundtrack while giving candies to the kids.

Psycho (1960)
FAVORITE CLASSIC MOVIE
I was impressed by this movie when I first saw it. I thought it would feel much older than that. Over 50 years after its original release, Psycho is still captivating. Gus Van Sant's remake was also pretty good.

Das Boot (1981)
A MOVIE THAT CHANGED YOUR OPINION ON SOMETHING
It didn't really change my opinion, it just help me understand things better. It was the first movie I saw that was showing WWII from the German point of view, the first movie I saw that didn't show German like bloodthirsty assholes who enjoyed raping women and torturing children. I guess it helped me understand that even in the most horrifying war, things were not only black or only white.

A MOVIE THAT YOU HATE
I don't like most Nouvelle Vague directors, but there are some that I can still appreciate (with moderation!). But I hate Jean-Luc Godard. I really do hate him. I think he's overrated...and "Film socialisme" is one of the worst thing I've ever seen.
Also, I watched this movie with my boyfriend who's not very good in French, so we had to put the subtitles on. With those ridiculous and incomplete subtitles, that don't even translate half on what's being said, Godard is laughing at his audience. Insulting.

Grease (1978)
GUILTY PLEASURE
An excellent musical with super catchy song that shows young girls that the best way to make a boyfriend and keep him is to wear a latex bodysuit and start smoking

Deep Blue Sea (1999)
MOVIE NO ONE WOULD EXPECT YOU TO LOVE
I love shark movies. Even really bad ones (Yes, even Sharktopus )

Peter Pan (1953)
A CHARACTER WHO YOU CAN RELATE TO THE MOST
Peter Pan is tattooed on my back. I am terrified of "growing up" and I began to fear my birthdays as soon as I reached ten: I thought nothing could be worst than having two numbers in your age. I am nostalgic and I hope that I will always keep my child heart. I love to play and I still play a lot; I collect toys and kids books; I LOVE candies and I never get tired of Disney movies. And, just like him, I am very proud, bossy and sometimes pompous.
Just like he says: "I'm youth, I'm joy, I'm a little bird that has broken out of the egg."

MOVIE THAT YOU USED TO LOVE BUT NOW HATE
I don't hate that movie...It's just that I used to think it was so creepy, and now I just find it hilarious. The acting is so poor. I watch it with friends sometimes just to laugh at it.

MOVIE THAT DISAPPOINTED ME THE MOST
I was so excited when I learned that Tim Burton was filming Alice in Wonderland . I thought that he would be able to show us all the most eerie sides of the book, the ones that the Disney version didn't have, and I was expecting Elfman to sign an astonishing soundtrack.
But. What. A. Shitty. Movie. The story sucked. The Mad Hatter, despite Depp's talent, does not have the depth it takes to be a main character. Helena Bonham Carter rocked, but it was not enough to make up for the "Hum, okay" acting of Anne Hathaway as the White Queen, and the dull performance of Mia Wasikowska as Alice. And what the hell was that final dance for? Tim Burton really directed that? I guess he's not as bold and inspired as he was.
Last but not least, Avril Lavigne sang the most annoying song of the year.
The only good things about the movie were my cheese nachos.

A MOVIE THAT YOU WISH MORE PEOPLE WOULD'VE SEEN
However I don't think most people would get its depth. It's such a crazy movie. I think that, in order to truly appreciate it, you must have been a troubled type of teenager.

FAVORITE BASED ON BOOK FILM
Zola is my favorite writer and the movie is the perfect example of a well-executed adaptation. The distribution is perfect, and I was pleasantly surprised to see that singer Renaud is also a fine actor.

Fargo (1996)
FAVORITE MOVIE FROM YOUR FAVORITE ACTOR
My favorite actor is Steve Buscemi and my favorite movie with him is "The Big Lebowski", that I listed as the most hilarious movie. I didn't want to repeat the same title so I picked an other great Cohen brothers movie starring him.

FAVORITE ACTION MOVIE
Can it get any more stressful? I still have nightmares about dinosaurs sometimes.

FAVORITE DOCUMENTARY
I watch a lot of documentaries. At least a lot more than the average person. This one is a must-seen.
This is far from Michael Moore sensationalism. It's simple, uncluttered, raw. But so shocking.
I am glad that the West Memphis Three finally made it out of prison.

MOVIE THAT YOU LOVE BUT EVERYONE ELSE SEEM TO HATE
It's not that people hate it...Whether they think it's boring, whether they say it's ok but they wouldn't watch it again. I think it's great. It's funny AND smart. I love the reflection about how those aged are so lonely, trapped in a house as well as in themselves. I love when John F. Kennedy talks about "this woman who pretends she's my daughter".

MOVIE FROM YOUR CHILDHOOD
I love that movie! I have an E.T. tank top and my E.T. teddy is my proud hat rack.
